AW3 is a new generation wax quality product designed to meet today's varied and demanding printing standards. This improved general purpose wax quality offers superior mechanical and smudge resistance. It has been specifically developed to complement the new generation of Toshiba flat-head printers. Providing good, clear printed images of text and barcodes onto a wide range of labels stocks, from uncoated to high gloss papers and synthetics, it offers a blackness above 2.1 ODR and heat resistance up to 60 °C (140 °F).

AW3 replaces the older generation AW1 and, as with all Toshiba ribbon products, offers the best in printhead protection with its superior back coating.
